BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE REVISTA IBEROAMERICANA DE PSICOLOG???A DEL EJERCICIO Y EL DEPORTE (2006-2017)

This work is based on a bibliometric analysis of the Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología del Ejercicio y el Deporte (The Journal of Ibero-American Psychology of Exercise and Sport), from 2006 to 2017. With 24 editions, 233 articles and 200 authors as first signatories, there is an average of 1.16 authors per article. Global contributions to the journal have increased. Nowadays Spanish authors account for 60% of those who provide articles. The most productive institution is the University of Extremadura, followed by the University of Malaga. The references are updated on average every 9.13 years with a Price index of 24.27%. Finally, the most commonly addressed sport is football, at 12.44%, followed by Combat Sports at 3.86% and Basketball at 3.43%.
