The aim of this study is to assess the evolution of the mood in a period of elite competitive judoka. 10 high-performance judoka were selected. They were given the questionnaire Profile of Mood States, POMS, adapted to castilian (Balaguer et al., 1994) over a 7-week competitive period. In turn, the volume was controlled classified into specific (technical and tactical training tatami), strength training (gym) and aerobic training (mainly continuous run), and observed the relationship between two variables. The results indicate that after observing a significant decrease in the volume of specific training load during the competitive; do not show significant changes in the profile of mood states. However, before the competition show statistically significant differences (p <.05) where the voltage increases and Vigor, and drops Fatigue. This type of analysis contributes to a better understanding of the athlete and their response to competitive periods.
