PROPHETIC VALUES IN DEALING WITH WOMEN IN WARS: A DOCTRINAL STUDY

This research examines the ethics of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in relation to women during wars, shedding light on the numerous principles he established in dealing with women in times of conflict. The Prophet (PBUH) prohibited the mistreatment of women in war and emphasized the importance of respecting their dignity. He treated female captives with mercy and justice, ensuring that their rights were upheld either through marriage or equitable treatment. Furthermore, the Prophet (PBUH) showed special honor to women in captivity, alleviating their suffering through various means. In addition to this, he exempted women from participating in combat, while encouraging their involvement in humanitarian and service roles, such as tending to the wounded and providing water.
