    THE EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION IN ADULTS: CROSS-CULTURAL VALIDATION AND PSYCHOMETRIC PROPERTIES

    The extent to which individuals openly exhibit their emotions, known as emotional expressiveness, has been linked to multiple indicators of overall wellness. The objective of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of the Emotional Expression Scale (EES) among a sample of Emirates adults. A total of 704 Emirates (44.35% male, 55.28% female; age: 18 to 69 years) samples and their contacts were recruited for the study. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analyses (CFA); tests of measurement invariance, tests of reliability, and convergent were conducted. The results showed that two factors were extracted, and the CFA replicated the original unidimensional structure RMSEA=0.05, SRMR= 0.07 CFI=0.94, NFI=0.93, and TLI=0.93.
